Robotic Security System System Engineering Consultants The robotic security system exhibited by Systems Engineering Consultants Co., Ltd. (SEC) is a system that uses laser range sensors to detect the proximity of obstacles. The robotic system is equipped with two laser range sensors. The URG-04LX measures obstacles at close range while the LMS200 measures long range obstacles. RT middleware, which was developed by Fujitsu and is becoming the international standard for high speed image processing, is loaded in the robot’s platform and is used to enable simple image processing by the robot. This type of system can be flexibly and easily developed by assembling the product using RT middleware. Other components that can be incorporated into the system include a USB camera component and a component that converts information from cameras and sensors made of RT components into RSi protocol via the internet and then transmits that protocol to the RSi server.
